BACKGROUND

We bought our first bulldog in 1978 (Sandy) Boukays Simone. She was sired by Ellesmere Autocrat and is the foundation of all our stock to date.

We decided to breed from her and because she was strongly bred to the reputable Ellesmere line, we thought that the then CH Aldridge Advent Gold would be a good dog to use at stud with her.

That produced a litter of 7 puppies, all self whelped and in the litter was our first show dog - Isgraig Gold Sovereign and on a repeat mating which produced 10 puppies, self whelped. We had our first champion - CH Isgraig Looby Lou, a beautiful bitch who won 6 CCs in her short show career as she retired for maternal duties and she was mated to CH Aldridge Aristrocrat at Brandywell owned by Bill and Jean Cartwright who was an Ellesmere Autocrat grandson (Looby Lou being an Ellesmere Autocrat granddaughter). This proved to be an inspirational decision as it led to producing Isgraig Horatio and the World Famous CH Isgraig Red Baron who won 10 CCs and 6 RCCs and produced 10 UK Champions and numerous CC winners. At the time he had a strong influence on the breed.

Over 30 years we have been invloved with Bulldogs and we have bred 26 litters and had 13 dogs issued with stud book numbers. Out of those litters we have had 4 UK Champions and consistently produced show winning stock.
